The Importance of Stories

Our stories are a major part of who we are and what we do in real estate.

Every day, we get to be a small piece of our clients’ stories, whether they’re ending a chapter or starting a new one, we get to help them to the next page, and that’s thrilling. There are tears, smiles, laughs, bittersweet goodbyes, and heartfelt hellos. It’s a huge blessing in our lives and a large responsibility, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of their stories.

Thinking about that got me thinking about my story. My business is built on trust; the biggest asset we have with our clients is their trust, and every day we make an effort to earn that trust over and over again. I believe that if I’ve earned your trust, you’ll keep my name in your thoughts to share with someone else that we can help buy, sell, build, or invest in real estate.

My story is that I’m a home-grown Jersey girl, born and raised in Morristown in northern New Jersey. I love Morristown, but I can’t afford to live there anymore. After I met my husband Chuck, he brought me over to Kentucky, and we’ve been here for 22 years raising our family. We couldn’t be more proud of our sons Christopher, Brennan, and Will.

"The biggest asset we have with our clients is their trust."

I started my career in public accounting, then went into corporate accounting, and all the while my brother kept saying I needed to get into the real estate business. There have been many times during my chapters of life that I wondered, “What am I doing wrong?” Plenty of people can understand that feeling. Back in 2008 when my family lost their development in Las Vegas, our partners ran away, I was removed from guest lists, and I was left in a hotel room dealing with brokers from across the country, my brother said again, “Get into real estate.”

Little did I know that it would take about 10 more years for me to listen, but I believe that time was spent learning nuggets of information, building compassion, and gaining life experiences so that when I did jump into real estate with both feet, I was the best I could be for you, someone you know, and all the rest of our clients. If you’re going through a tough situation, I’ve been there, and if I haven’t, I have the compassion from my own experiences to know where you might be coming from, and that’s what it’s all about. Real estate is a tool for me to build relationships, connect people to our community, and make Lexington the best place to live, work, and raise a family. My hope is that we keep people here and keep wanting people to be here.

I’ve been in real estate for seven years now, and I’m in the top 1% of real estate agents across the nation. I go big or go home, and I keep going bigger and bigger. I want to bring wonderful people with me; we have excellent staff in our office and fantastic agents we’re adding to our team. Every day it’s a sheer pleasure to work alongside other great agents, work at Keller Williams, and be part of the Melia Group.

If you want to hear more about my story, I would love to tell you. If you give me the honor of your trust, I promise no agent or team will work harder for you. Although there will be hiccups and things may not always be seamless, we’ll do everything in our power to make your experience the best it can be. When we get to put the keys in your palm, help you build wealth, build a legacy, build a home, sell a home, I thank you for the honor of your trust and the privilege to serve you.

If you’d like to hear more of my story or have any real estate questions, reach out to me via phone or email. I would love to be your real estate resource.
