The Power of Partnership: Why Saying Yes Changed Everything
.png)
When I first stepped into the world of real estate ten years ago, I was determined to make it on my own. I declined several invitations to join a team—not because I didn’t respect those extending the offer, but because no one could clearly articulate the value of partnership. And truthfully, I couldn’t afford to see it as anything other than a cost. At the time, every penny mattered.
If I’m being fully transparent, I also carried a scarcity mindset, wrapped in layers of ego and pride. I believed I could do it better, faster, and smarter—on my own.
And in many ways, I did. I learned the business. I hit the ground running and crushed it straight out of the gate. That’s just how I’m wired.
But I also made it harder than it needed to be.
It was lonely, expensive, and exhausting. I succeeded, yes, but I did it the long, hard way.
What I Didn’t Realize Back Then:
-
💥 Success gets lonely at the top—unless you're in the right room.
-
⏳ We all get the same 24 hours. It’s how we use them that determines our growth.
-
⚙️ Systems and tools matter. They create consistency and give you your time back.
-
🧱 Leverage is non-negotiable if you want to scale and build something bigger than yourself.
-
🌱 Opportunity multiplies when you invite others into your world and help them do the same for their families and clients.
After ten years, I can look back and see the failures hidden behind my “success.” Most people only see what’s working now. But I’ve made plenty of mistakes—and I’ve grown because of them.
I’ve spent money poorly. I’ve made hiring mistakes. I’ve let ego override wisdom. I’ve said “I don’t need help” more times than I’d like to admit.
What changed everything?
A simple invitation from my coach, Scott Goodnight. He offered me a conversation about PLACE. I said no—for three months. Then one day, I said yes.
That one YES altered the course of my life, my business, and—most importantly—the lives of the partners I get to work with every single day.
Today, I’m surrounded by people with different goals, different dreams, different strengths—and that diversity makes us stronger. We’re no longer trying to squeeze into the same box. Instead, we’re all chasing personal definitions of success, supported by a model that lets us build big, live free, and give more.
So here’s my question for you:
What if you simply said "YES" to a conversation about opportunity?
Not a commitment. Just a chat.
What if that conversation became the catalyst to change your business, your lifestyle, your family’s future—and maybe even someone else’s?
If you're curious about what PLACE has done for me and could possibly do for you, I invite you to reach out.
